  About Elisabeth Sachs
   
  Elisabeth Sachs, principal of her own firm since 2002, practices in Orangeville, Ontario, focusing exclusively on family law: litigation, mediation, arbitration, and collaborative law.  
     
  During her over 30 year career, she was in large and small firms and served in the Ontario government as a Legal Director, Executive Director and appeals adjudicator. Ms. Sachs holds degrees in civil and common law from McGill University with extensive training in dispute resolution.  
     
  Ms. Sachs is a member of the Ontario Bar Association's Family Law Section [having served as an executive member, and Vice-chair and Chair of other Sections]; the Advocates' Society; the Canadian and American Bar Associations; York and Halton-Peel Collaborative Law Groups; Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (Ontario); and York Region County Law Association. She sits on the Board of Directors of the Dufferin County Law Association, Dufferin Big Brothers and Big Sisters and the Professional Women’s Symposium Association of which she is a founding Director. Ms. Sachs is a Past President of the Women's Law Association of Ontario and Toronto University Women’s Club.  
     
  A Fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, Ms. Sachs taught widely, authored articles on conflict resolution, family and insurance law and is a speaker for legal, professional and private sector organizations.  
     
  Ms. Sachs relocated her practice from Vaughan in 2007 and with her family, operates Kilmihil Farms, near Grand Valley, home to some of Ontario’s finest Red Angus cattle.
